The Indianapolis Region has a population of nearly two million people, a labor force of more than 1 million, and has experienced an extremely healthy growth rate of 15.2 percent from 2000 to 2010. That's 5.5 percentage points faster than the national growth rate during the same time period. The region is also home to the city of Indianapolis, which is the 13th largest city in the U.S.
 
According to the latest report from the Census of Manufacturing, the Indianapolis Region boasts the most productive workforce in the Midwest. Coupled with the region's low cost of doing business, offering a workforce ranked among the "most productive" is a key selling point for the Indianapolis Region.
